Antique engraving depicting the plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Prussia, Holland and Russia signing the Preliminaries of Peace at St. Petersburg, dated 1791. Published by W & J Stratford, Holborn Hill, London, and engraved for Adolphus's History of England. The oval composition shows four figures gathered around a table in an interior setting, finely rendered in stipple engraving. Presented in an ebonised frame with gilt beaded detail. A piece of genuine historical interest.
