Our Approach
Agatha's essence revolves around the idea of breathing new life into antique objects with unfinished stories. It's a brand that embraces repurposing materials and objects, championing sustainability and the creation of magic from the creations of the past.
A Shoot Location
Nestled amidst ten acres of picturesque land, the story begins in a house that was originally built in 1522. Over time, extensions have been thoughtfully added, preserving the Tudor aesthetic that defines the property. The property has undergone extensive renovations. The result is an eccentric and eclectic mix of artwork, plants, beautiful objects, wallpaper, and lamps.
The house itself is a testament to the concept of maximalism, where more is truly more. Every element in Agatha's interior exudes character and history, creating a tapestry of stories. From the antique furniture that takes center stage to the subtle charm of hidden trinkets, the experience is nothing short of magical.
A Rich History and a Bright Future
The history of the house is as fascinating as the treasures it houses. Used originally as a hunting lodge in the Tudor period, the house has been lovingly molded to suit previous owners, one of which created a book, documenting her home refurbishments. Stories have been passed down of the house's history; the fire place in the sitting room is said to have fallen off the back of one of Cromwell's carriages before making its way into the house! Our favourite story has to be that one custodian lost the house after using it as his bet in a game of cards, luckily the Gentleman managed to win it back and the winning hand is framed in the Kitchen and shall remain at the house for years to come.
The renovation process has become a source of inspiration and in-turn Agatha was born. A place to inspire others, where they too can add stories.
