Antique engraving featuring two historical scenes presented side by side, depicting "Lord Cromwell presenting a New Translation of the Bible to Henry VIII at London" and "The Bishops presenting their Petition to James II at St. James's, April 27 1688, prior to their commitment to the Tower of London." Engraved by Roberts after Wade. Presented in an ebonised frame with gilt beaded detail. A piece of considerable historical interest relating to English religious and political history.
