Biscuit Barrel

Antique ceramic biscuit barrel with silver-plated rim and swing handle, decorated in a Chinoiserie style with flowering cherry blossom branches, potted bonsai trees and birds on a cream ground, with a decorative border to the neck. A decorative and appealing piece of late Victorian orientalist ware.
 
Measurements: 11 x 15 cm
 
Condition: Shows age-related wear with minor imperfections consistent with age. The swing handle detaches but rests gently on its hooks and comes without its lid. Antique, vintage and preloved pieces often show signs of their age. We do our best to capture our curiosities as life-like as possible, however small variations may occur.
